Live-in Care
Frequently asked
questions
We understand that considering live-in care can bring about numerous questions and uncertainties.
To provide clarity and reassurance, we’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) that address common queries you might have.
We’re here to support you every step of the way, and if any aspect remains unclear or if you have any questions whatsoever, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our compassionate team is here to listen, assist, and ensure that you have all the information you need to make the best decision for yourself or your loved one’s well-being.
Contact UsWhen you reach out to us initially, we will inquire whether you or your loved one needs a live-in carer who can drive. If the response is yes, we will subsequently pair you with a carer who holds a driving license and is able to drive.
Yes. Your live-in carer should have their own designated room complete with fresh clean sheets, comfortable bed, a wardrobe for clothing/storage, and standard amenities to ensure their stay is as cozy as can be. A television and, if feasible, access to Wi-Fi in their room is also advisable.
Typically, a live-in caregiver's break is scheduled mid afternoon, as this period is generally quieter for clients – occurring after lunch when personal care requirements are usually minimal. The caregiver would actively engage in duties for approximately 8 hours each day and remain available around the clock, except during their designated break times and as previously arranged.
To organise a live-in carer, for either yourself or your dear one, we kindly ask you to contact us directly. Our advisors will then guide you through the required assistance by considering the details you provide. Subsequently, they will liaise with team members who align with the type of caregiver you're seeking. Once appropriate caregivers are identified, they will facilitate access to their profiles and coordinate a phone interview. Upon successful completion of this process, we will assist you in setting up a suitable commencement date for the chosen caregiver.
